##################################################### VMware Experts Database Workshop Oracle Edition (Industry Experts) #####################################################
The VMware Experts Database program , started in 2013 & sponsored by the VMware Cloud Platform Business Unit (CPBU) , was initially focused on gathering MS SQL Server & Oracle experts (later extended to Big Data) in either Palo Alto or Sofia Bulgaria / Cork Ireland for three days of intense Executive welcomes along with open discussions with VMware engineers, architects and product specialists.
Customized labs were setup specifically for each Experts Group and run on a high-end Infrastructure provided by VMware Partners in the VMware Cloud Solutions Labs (VSLAB).
The experts in the various database disciplines were nominated from a variety of sources, interviewed & then specially selected based on three specific criteria – True experts in their specific field of expertise, Public figures (Teachers, writers, bloggers, consultants, frequent speakers and general all around well-known personalities qualify) and most importantly open-minded towards the message of VMware.
After the event , each Expert was invited to be included in a specially established internal/external email distribution list. The DLs include all the experts within a specific discipline and the VMware employees who participated in the event. The DLs were established to allow for continued communications between the external Oracle and SQL Server Experts and the VMware personal who they met throughout the workshop.
Experts were encouraged to include VMware content in sessions that they deliver at any conference or event that they participate in in addition to be invited to submit sessions for VMworld. Papers and Blogs were also encouraged.
An excellent program geared towards Route to Market/GTM.
